November 2023: Well, a lot has happened since the last update - I have moved over to the beautiful Ceredigion countryside and starting to take on some lovely new clients! This year I have continued to follow my passion for reflexology, qualifying in both Orthopody and VRT; these advanced techniques are incorporated into my treatments to improve your mobility and range of movements, reducing pain and inflammation.

October 2022: We are leaving Montana and The Garden Room on Thursday 20th October, eventually relocating to West Wales where I will continue to treat clients old and new. For the foreseeable future I will be returning to the Forest of Dean at least monthly and treating clients in a beautiful cottage in Drybrook so do ring me to check availability.

September 2022: As part of my Continuing Professional Development I went down to Dorset for a Facial Rejuvenation course - clients are loving the results as I’m incorporating what I learnt into my practice. Ask about it next time you visit!

July 2022: We are relocating! After 30 years of love, laughter and abseiling we are leaving our idyllic hillside cottage for the next adventure: I will let you know when and where we find our next healing space. April 2022: Summer is approaching fast and it’s all go at The Garden Room. With the Omnicron Covid 19 variant causing occasional cancellations by clients it is worth phoning me if you urgently need a treatment - there may be a spare slot for you.

March 2021: Well, I’ve been keeping myself busy with Continuing Professional Development and offering distance reflexology, which I’m enjoying giving and is getting positive feedback. I’m also promoting my bespoke aromatherapy blends for various conditions such as skin problems, sleep issues, pain and stress relief. The decking has now been re-built so the lovely Garden Room view has been restored!

I’m so looking forward to seeing clients old and new from the 18th April; you will be welcomed with open arms but with adherence to the prevailing Covid guidelines.

October 2020: It’s so lovely to be able to see my clients again - with Covid-19 protocols in place. May 2020: well, it’s nearly two months into the lock-down and the government seems hopeful that the worst of the pandemic is over: we are now Being Alert rather than Staying at Home, so we are monitoring the situation closely. Obviously any gift vouchers or packages still outstanding have had all time limits waived; I can’t wait to see my lovely clients again!

The French Retreat had been fully booked; we’re currently re-scheduling it for next year. So much to look forward to!

March 2020: be careful with Coronavirus advice on social media – as with other Facebook/Twitter/etc., posts please check their veracity before re-posting or following their advice.

Two bogus posts I’ve seen are about sipping water to kill the virus and holding your breath for ten seconds to check if you are infected. These are both false. You can check by typing the relevant words into Google Search and seeing if any counter-claims are made by reputable sites such as The Verge, The Independent, Hoax-slayer, etc.: https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/12/21177262/coronavirus-tip-fake-list-stanford-hoax-covid-19 https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/coronavirus-symptoms-stanford-tips-protection-pandemic-advice-a9399621.html

A better bit of advice from Sharon Ramel, shamanic practitioner, is: 1 Focus on controlling what you can control 2 Get plenty of rest 3 Breathe 4 Enjoy the outdoors (vitamin D is essential) and get exercise 5 Limit your exposure to news and social media.

Advice from the relevant government departments, although somewhat late and changeable, is worth checking so you know what is expected.
